GALLERIES
One to two times per year, POP is proud to host PopUp Art Galleries, showcasing thelocal talent that we have in our community. During each event, attendees have the opportunity to experience local art, meet the artists one-on-one, and learn more about the diverse culture of art in Carlsbad. These events highlight the very essence of a thriving arts and cultural district and have become POP's signature event!

The PopUp Galleries are designed to make art more accessible in Carlsbad, and to facilitate new artistic experiences, growing the artist community in our area.
CAVERN THEATRE
REHABILITATION PROJECT
The Historic Cavern Theatre Rehabilitation Project is a community effort to rehabilitate one of Carlsbad’s most beloved downtown buildings. The City of Carlsbad and numerous volunteers are working closely together on this remarkable project and it is one of Carlsbad MainStreet’s targeted projects to promote economic development in the downtown area.
OUR VISION
“The Cavern Theatre will serve as a multi-service community-oriented performing arts center with state-of-the-art sound and technical capabilities to enhance the quality of life and provide economic revitalization of the downtown area in a mid-size venue.”
DOWNTOWN MURAL PROJECTS
Together with, Carlsbad MainStreet, Keep Carlsbad Beautiful and the City of Carlsbad's Fine art Acquisition & Vetting Committee, a downtown mural project is underway, including the painting of electrical boxes. This project is not only beautifying the district, but is also stimulating the local artist community by way of employing Carlsbad's very own talent.
DOWNTOWN BENCHES & TRASHCANS
In collaboration with Carlsbad MainStreet, POP is consistently working to improve the downtown experience through beautification, and practical installations like these. Thanks to Keep Carlsbad Beautiful, NWP and XTO, 18 brand new custom benches and 25 beautiful trash cans have been installed throughout downtown!
